I have a silly question, can we get the pet with heroes? As I have no chars to give it to but I don't wanna miss it as it looks cool so I was hoping...

It spawns when heroes are present, so I would imagine they can tame it, unlike the rainbow phoenix.

You don't actually have to charm it.

Just talk to the NPC in Embark Beach and it will be added to the Zoo

Yes. Talking to the questgiver will give you a level 5 at the menagerie, which you can then manually command your Ranger hero to charm.

You have to talk to the tamer there to remove the heroes current pet. also it is best to only take that hero or set your others to passive during the charm.

I got no reason to lie. I played beta and still have 2 characters from that time. So I will have to record the second one in case this is too much of a shock

And no, my Jora doesn't seem to be any cooler than my other Jora from the original batch of 4th year gifts.

Do the birthday presents even go live before the actually birthday of the game though? I was under the impression that beta characters got the presents on the 28th

I might believe you if I didn't have characters that were part of the head start and I don't have presents yet. Oh can't forget the most obvious reason this is a troll nothing is in the gw.dat.

I will record myself opening my second 7th year gift and post it on my YT page once I get it. This might be a bug or bad luck but I always deal with the TRUth (so much so it's part of my handle).

The Hound of Balthazar is a cool addition. So, since there are 3 other NPCs besides Ceira, can we expect the other 3 to offer elemental-themed pets like the hound? A glowing-blue ice panther from Merisse? An electricly-charged bird from Fylinn?

I highly doubt it since the 4 npcs have been there from embark beach day 1 and it would be too weird if the hound had been planned already by then.

Maybe the idea was that our 7th birthday gift is really eternal access to FoW and UW, considering the amount of titles that are expected to be maxed over the next couple of weeks?
